FAQs

What makes the Vision Midwest Conference different?

Affordability

First, there is a major focus on affordability. Vision Midwest is keeping registration fees low, providing and subsidizing travel (in at least some cases), offering discounted lodging and working to keep food high quality and low costs.

Transportation

Second, as suggested above there is a major focus on transportation. Vision Midwest will offer chartered busing from some locations and provide shuttle transportation to and from major mass transportation hubs (such as rail). Within the conference there will also be busing/shuttles to get attendees to/from major conference facility locations, hotels, downtown Madison and cultural locations.

You

Last, but not least, Vision Midwest aims to be holistic in its approach with a focus on attendees just like you. From offering child care and guide dog accommodations, to making an effort to accommodate dietary needs, to providing a wide variety of offerings (academics, sports, public educational offerings, audio described theater, etc.), we hope to reflect at least some of the diversity of the people attending, make it family- and friend-friendly, and make the conference a great experience for all!
