The Vision Midwest Conference covers quite a bit - from accessible technology to yoga - but the common thread that runs throughout is that it's about what people are doing. We want this conference to be your conference - we want it to be about you. I am an avid totally blind bowler who is delighted to attend this conference. I'm glad the weather will probably be mild at that part of the year. At my age, 57, the past 10 years have been a journey of wills. The will for people to think I'm brain dead and ultimately can't do the same "stuff" everyone else does who has a brain. The WILL I have found inside and pulled out to accept the use of the white cane, the step forward to accept what is happening and keeping that glass half full, starting a business to help others with life challenges and applying for employment knowing my brain function is amazing despite my vision function. People are correct; sometimes I see more than they do. In more ways than one. I appreciate your fortitude. People like you keep me believing and passing that encouragement on to others who need the arm around the shoulder.
